AFTER SCHOOL ARTISTS PROGRAM

The ExCEL After School Artists Program offers several opportunities for students to explore their creativity, develop their artistic knowledge & abilities, and have a lot of fun experiencing a variety of mediums.  ​

 

The program is designed for students to discover, explore, and develop their skills in various art forms. Projects in the general art sessions include Drawing, Painting, 3-D / Sculpture and more!

 

The Fall Semester offering 9 Sessions of Visual Arts Classes for $8 each session, with a $2 sibling discount.  Students will be grouped by grade level and enrollment is limited to 20 students per session. All Classes are 45 minutes long and offered weekly on Tuesdays. 

Art & Literature for Grades K-2

This art course will have students creating and connecting art to beloved children's literature. Some of the books to be explored are Elmer by David McKee, Ish by Peter Reynolds and Owl Babies by Martin Waddell. Students will come home with art and a story to tell about their artwork. Students will create one artwork each week.

Famous Artists/Painting for Grades 3-5

This art course will have students painting and exploring painting styles of famous artists. Some of the artist to be explored are Marc Chagall, Paul Cezanne and Winslow Homer. Students will create one artwork every two weeks.
