PROGRAM INFORMATION

The ExCEL Youth Basketball League is offered during the Winter & Spring seasons

Winter Season: December - March

Spring Season: March - May

Each season has 8 guaranteed games.

Divisions are assigned according to grade level. Teams and/or players may play up to an older division, 

however teams and/or players may not play down to a younger division.

LEAGUE & DIVISION DETAILS

Practice & Game Schedules - By Division

• Games - Primarily played on Weekends (possibly some weekday evenings)

• Practices - 1 hour time slot per week - Practice Nights are Mon, Wed, & Friday - 5:00, 6:00, 7:00, or 8:00pm 

  • Practice assignments are not guaranteed. However, our goal is to provide every team with a consistent practice time throughout the season at no additional cost.

Kindergarten & 1st Grade Co-Ed (Player Development Program)

• 6ft - 8ft goals

• Co-Ed Teams (boys & girls)

• Ball Size 28.5

• Court Size: 74' x 44'

• Games & Practices are scheduled together

  • 5:30pm - 6:45pm when scheduled on Weeknights (Monday - Friday)

  • Between 8:30am - 4:30pm when scheduled on Saturdays.

  • First 30 minutes are used for practice followed by a 30 minute game (2 x 15min halves)

• Goal Height: 9ft

• Ball Size: 28.5 

• Court Size: 74' x 44'

• Goal Height: 10ft

• Ball Size: 28.5 

• Court Size: 74' x 44' up to 94' x 50'

League Fees - Terrell ISD Residents receive a discounted rate*

• $65 per player (Residents) / $95 per player (Non-Residents)

• Fee Increases may be issued for Late Registration

• Currently, no additional fees are required for player's cards or referees*​
